Overview: The International Operations Manager will lead, train, and guide the department of International Logistics Coordinators to drive tactical and strategic plans through the group in order to achieve budget goals and deliver high levels of quality service.
This role reports to the Director of International Logistics, works closely with the sales team, builds relationships with logistics partners (air, ocean, truck and rail) and handles all technical details of international transportation, including but not limited to multiple modes of moving freight, complex documentation and customs regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Understand compliance and regulations and adhere to the legal requirements of the exporting countries, tariffs and customs; remain up to date on all current legal requirements
• Perform effective negotiations with carriers, forwarders and others logistics partners
• Establish and deliver reliable transit times. Maintain excellent levels of communication leadership throughout all stages of the shipping process
• Drive execution of C-TPAT security program
• Collaborate on the sales plan and provide logistics expertise
• Manage budget and track spending for related activities
• Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 – 10 years of related work experience ideally within ocean freight, carrier management or supply chain logistics required
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field preferred
• Focus on customer service, with experience in providing high quality and timely delivery of goods required
• Experience with the largest global freight forwarding companies; a strong global network of agents, affiliations and partnerships required
• Knowledge of, international shipping required
• Knowledge of, and experience with, CargoWise Systems a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
