We are a mid-size company servicing a wide range of projects in varying markets from pharmaceuticals to retail. We are seeking a Construction Safety Officer to add to our team. The ideal candidate should have (3-5) years experience as a Construction Safety Officer, be self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities

• Create, communicate, enforce and implement comprehensive corporate safety programs for all divisions, activities and disciplines of the company.
• Develop and implement a training system that will coordinate, schedule and facilitate safety training for employees in compliance with federal (OSHA) and state regulations as well as local safety and health regulations including NFPA and ANSI standards.
• Training topics include hot work safety, power industrial equipment, scaffolds, mobile work platforms, OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30, HAZWOPER and other safety related topics as required.
• Prepare periodic reports for senior management that summarize safety compliance and program implementation.
• Develop a system to track required certifications, qualifications and licenses for employees.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of site specific safety program and job hazard analysis prior to project start.
• Conduct site evaluations in order to assess safety program elements and individual safety performance.
• Develop curriculum, course materials and documentation on the proper training of employees as related to their scope of work including hoists, cranes, lifts, scaffolds and hand held tools.

Experience/Education

• Construction Health and Safety Technician credential and advanced safety training, or BS in Occupational Safety Management required
• 3-5 years construction safety management experience required
• Certified OSHA 10 and 30 safety course instructor required (will consider candidates in the process of getting this certification)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proven knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques and methods.
• Proven knowledge of OSHA laws, regulations and policies.
• Capable of identifying known potential exposures and recommending corrective actions.
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office along with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Management, leadership and interpersonal skills combined with good. organizational capabilities and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
