Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
The Wellstar School of Nursing (WSON) offers BSN and MSN degrees and is one of the largest programs in Georgia. The WSON graduates more new Baccalaureate nurses than other programs in Georgia. The WSON currently employs more than 55 full-time faculty and numerous part-time faculty. A five-year plan to increase undergraduate enrollment is underway. The WSON is housed within the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services, which includes departments of Social Work and Human Services, Health Promotion and Physical Education, and Exercise Science and Sports Management as well as an Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth.
Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for 1 nine-month and 4 twelve-month, tenure track, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor faculty positions in the Wellstar School of Nursing, beginning August 2022. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
These positions report to the Director of the Wellstar School of Nursing. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in undergraduate didactic and clinical courses. Other responsibilities include participation in ongoing curricular assessment, scholarly activities, and service in departmental, college, and university committees.

Required Qualifications
An earned research focused doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, or the foreign equivalent. Candidates who did not complete a BSN to PhD degree, must possess a master’s degree in nursing or a related field, or the foreign equivalent. BSN to PhD graduates are not required to hold a master’s degree. Candidates must have a clinical background in adult health, community health, psychiatric/mental health, parent/child or women’s health nursing and/or skills and simulation labs.
