Tata Harper is currently looking for a solid candidate to serve as a key member within the Finance Department by performing general accounting tasks focused on balance sheet and expense accounts, providing reconciliation and analysis assistance, and processing journal entries. Your combination of accounting-finance knowledge, attention to detail, and diligent research abilities will make you an integral part of the team and drive your career growth with the company.
Responsibilities
· Support the financial books close by processing the necessary journal entries while ensuring accuracy and timelines with adherence to the close.
· Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, resolve issues timely, and ensure balances are supported and explained.
· Maintain cross-departmental relationships to ensure awareness of all accounting implications of each business transaction and understanding of the business drivers.
· Perform account research and analyses to determine trends, estimates, significant fluctuations, and policy/GAAP compliance.
· Ensure all accounting procedures, records, and reports conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and base regulations/tax compliance
· Assist leadership on various analysis, initiatives and ad hoc projects in support of financial reporting requirements, regulatory compliance, among others
· Serve as a subject matter expert in areas such as Fixed Assets, Leases, Revenue, Regulatory.
Qualifications
· Term Student or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required
· 1-3 years of Accounting and Balance Sheet management experience preferred.
· Solid knowledge of US GAAP and basic regulations / tax
· Experience with Oracle Netsuite or other ERP’s preferred
· Strong analytical, organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the MS Office suite
· Intellectually curious. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
· Strong time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
