California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering. Priority will be given to applicants who specialize in cyber-physical systems, signal and image processing, and robotics. However, outstanding candidates from other areas within the field of computer engineering may also be considered. Candidates with industry experience are encouraged to apply. The campus has a STEM Success Center providing students support for courses in STEM majors and a Center for Research and Engagement in STEM Education (CRESE) dedicated to enriching, enhancing, and supporting STEM education.
The University was recently awarded a nearly $5 million grant from the Department of Education’s Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI)-STEM program to develop a new degree program in Computer Engineering and improve student support in STEM programs. The campus is located on a beautiful 304-acre hillside 15 miles east of the Pacific Ocean and in the San Diego North County region, an area known for its temperate climate and growing technology industries.
