Who We Are:

Behavioral Health Link has provided crisis intervention, behavioral health and developmental disability screening, triage, and linkage services since 1998 and is a recognized leader in crisis services and software. We currently operate the statewide Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) and Mobile Crisis Response Services in four of Georgia’s six regions. Our proprietary software powers our services as well as the services of other agencies throughout the U.S. and abroad.

What We’re Looking For:

Our crisis call center is staffed by caring professionals with an empathetic ear and a passion for helping others. The crisis call center also provides online emotional support through text and chat.

The Crisis Counselor will screen, assess, triage, and provide telephonic crisis intervention/de-escalation to assist in identifying concerns with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse and will collaboratively determine an immediate course of action. The Crisis Counselor will also utilize assessment information and community resources to provide information, linkage, referral to services, and complete appropriate documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.

What This Role Requires:

Crisis Counselor I – Bachelor’s degree or certification as a Certified Peer Specialist or equivalent.

Crisis Counselor II – Master’s degree in a helping profession (i.e., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling).

Crisis Counselor III – Restricted license to practice as a Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist.

Crisis Counselor IV – Unestricted license to practice as a Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist.
