Job Summary
The Title IX & Student Support Manager (TIXSS Manager) helps provide direct support to and serves as a non-clinical case manager for students in crisis, on-going student outreach from the CARE team (student of concern team), and coordination and administrative case management for student of concern situations. The TIXSS Manager is a strategic campus thought partner and leader in the support and engagement of students, their families, faculty, and staff and will assist in identifying barriers to student success and helping to refer students to resources, both internal and external, that prioritize student well-being, student self-agency, safety, and overall student persistence.
The TIXSS Manager serves as Naropa University’s designee responsible for institutional compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits sex discrimination in education programs and activities and retaliation for the purpose of interfering with any rights or privileges afforded under Title IX. The Title IX Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that the entire Naropa community, students, faculty, and staff, are aware of their legal rights under Title IX, and that Naropa and all of its employees, through its policies, procedures and practices complies with its legal obligations under Title IX. In this role, the coordinator will work as the first point of referral to provide Title IX intake, support, and case management before determining which cases will be referred externally to dedicated investigators for additional investigation and decision making. This is a program/process management role with no direct report responsibilities.

Educational degree/diploma required:

Administrative Supervision: The supervisor sets the overall objectives and resources available. Supervisor and employee, in consultation, develop deadlines, projects, and work to be done. The employee plans and carries out the assignment, resolves most of the conflicts, coordinates work with others and interprets policy on own initiative. The employee keeps the supervisor informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications.
