Medical Practice Hiring for Bookkeeper Small Solo Medical Practice Job at Amherst, NY Full Time

This Bookkeeping Position is a 6-month contract position that may become a permanent position. You will be working at a small solo medical practice in Amherst, NY on Fridays only.

We are looking for a professional who has the expertise, skill sets, and autonomy to manage the accounts, and enter expenses. In the beginning, you will be working every Friday for a 4-hour shift (8:00 am to 12:00 noon), but ultimately, you will have the flexibility to come biweekly or once a month.

CANDIDATES WHO HAVE BEEN FULLY VACCINATED ARE PREFERRED.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must have 5 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping.

Avoid legal challenges by complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements and regulations.

Protect practice’s value by keeping information confidential.

Provide financial reports to owners upon request.

Identify and prioritize all the payment due dates for the upcoming week.

Maintain accounting files ensuring they are up to date and organized.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Bookkeeping.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ethical Professional who is reliable and self-directed.

Experience with automated accounting systems is a must.

Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize workflow, and problem solve.
