Summary/Objective
The Mail Clerk position will support the Titles Department by efficiently performing duties related to Titles operations to meet monthly funding goals. The Mail Clerk is responsible for managing the mail, and accurate and efficient organization/filing of documents.
Essential Functions
- Receive, sort & deliver USPS mail
- Receive, sort & deliver FedEx & UPS
- Process, scan and file documents
- Processing: notate and date records
- Project and other tasks, as time permits
Competencies
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail, organizational skills and accuracy
- Efficient time management skills including ability to prioritize assigned duties to meet workload needs
- Can work both independently and as part of a team
- Working knowledge of office equipment; computers, laptops, printers, scanners, etc.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate office procedures
- Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a high pace environment requiring flexibility
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree or higher preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative capacity or customer service role.
Physical Requirements
This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Must be able to stand for an extended period of time. May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.
