Job Description

The Junior Website Developer (JWD) is an integral part of the company’s software support and development process which includes debugging issues within production websites, creating local and staging development environments, building out new features and enhancements as well as maintaining existing customer functionality in coordination with Customer Success Team, and management through assigned tasks. The JWD also assists in improvements to the current development framework by identifying deficiencies and suggesting updates to leadership. Experience with WordPress is highly preferred.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code using software development best practices
• Create website layout/user interface using standard HTML/CSS/JS practices
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site

• Keep pace with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them where applicable

· Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
• Effective critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve.
• Ability to work cooperatively with Q4Launch teammates and follow the Q4Launch core values daily.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with fellow employees.
• Ability to read, count and write in English to accurately complete all documentation.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with PHP and WordPress theme development
• Familiarity with Git
• Experience with React or creation of WordPress Gutenberg blocks a plus.
• Experience with Webpack, NPM, or Yarn a plus.
• Familiarity with MySQL a plus

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
