Apptegy is building products to empower school leaders to run better schools. We have the opportunity to help schools as they go through a radical shift in how they operate and to provide great technology to make that transition.

As an HR Specialist…
You will support our community of people to do their best work. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day operations and will continuously help champion our culture. You’ll need to prioritize multiple tasks, pay close attention to details, and bring enthusiasm to strengthen the People Team.

Responsibilities
- Learn Apptegy’s approach to all things People Operations and have a deep understanding of our culture
- Manage day-to-day all Human Resources related administrative tasks
- Act as primary point of contact for benefits administration
- Support on-boarding needs including benefits enrollment, scheduling, I-9s, emails, etc.
- Support employees on a day-to-day basis, answer questions, and cultivate an excellent employee experience
- Maintain on-going HR reporting and metrics
- Assist with the full life cycle recruiting process
- Work closely with Finance team on payroll and other reporting
- Complete ad-hoc projects
What is expected of you:
High attention to detail: Although every job posting out there says “Attention to detail,” in this role your success depends on your ability to be thorough and pay attention to the smallest details. That means you should be someone who catches the little things, especially when it counts. You are someone that takes pride in correcting misspellings, finding misplaced commas, and improving syntax.
Organization: You should have learned the skill of being organized and maintaining a personal system that keeps track of what is a priority and should have a knack for project management. Moreover, you should be able to organize your work that is accessible and easy for others to help and participate in the work.
Growth mindset: In this role, we are looking for someone that wants to be a part of our continued growth and enhance what we’ve built so far. At times, that will mean creating something new instead of replicating how it has been done somewhere else.
Service mindset: In this role, you’re supporting our most important asset, our people. While efficiency and processes are necessary, we want to use those to serve people — not the other way around.
What is true of you?
An aptitude for challenge & a track record of success:
- You have completed a four-year college degree with a high GPA
- You have an impressive track record in your academic and work history.
An ability to manage your day and be effective & efficient:
- You have managed your own workflow and schedule.
- You do not need someone to guide your day or tell you what to do next.
