• Meets with customers to define requirements and prepares scopes of work and cost of proposals.
• Plans, organizes, documents and coordinates projects for buried conduit systems, building distribution systems (BDS), and voice and data cabling systems.
• Coordinates critical milestones for completion of construction projects to ensure that telecommunications will be available and operable when required.
• Provides technical and plant engineering support.
• Responsible for ensuring accurate maintenance of the division’s cable recordings and outside plant maps;
• Monitors cable facility availability within and between buildings and makes recommendations for adjustments as appropriate.
• Prepares budgets and cost estimates for telecommunications on their projects of building construction, renovation of acquired facilities and remodeling of existing facilities.
• Prepares and adheres to budgets for outside/inside plant facilities projects.
• Responsible for ensuring accurate updates of the division’s Outside Plant (OSP) cable Maps. Showing future and completed projects.
• Will plan, assign, review and supervise the work efforts of contractors.
• Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 – $52.50 per hour

Experience:

• planning, implementation, and operation of cabling systems.: 3 years (Required)
• managing outside/inside plant projects: 3 years (Required)
• telecommunications implementations: 3 years (Required)
