Accounting & HR Director

THE POSITION: Accounting & Human Resources Director is responsible for managing financial, human resource, and administrative functions.
· Supports the CFO with budget projections and management, conducting financial analysis, and preparing financial reports
· Develops and maintains an effective system of accounting for leadership and audit, including AP, AR and GL functions, reconciliations, and financial and budget reporting
· Verifies and posts detail of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed
· Develops and manages the Human Resource Coordinator and functions
· Manages the payroll system (ADP)
· Manages and administers the employee benefits
· Develops and manages employee relations
· Oversees employee training and development
Work Hours: M-F, 8-4 or 9-5
Position Type: Full-time
Starting Pay: $60,000, subject to experience/education
Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance
Paid Time Off: Full-time employees are eligible for vacation and sick time
Location: Greenville, FL (approximately 45- to 50-minute commute from Tallahassee, FL and Valdosta, GA)
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
· Two years of business experience in accounting and human resource functions is required
· Working knowledge of:
o GAPP
o Microsoft Suite and accounting software (QBO preferred)
o Payroll processing software (ADP Workforce Now experience preferred)
o Employee benefit plans
o Labor and OSHA regulations
· Critical Skills:
o Organization and time management
o Strong interpersonal skillset
o Problem solver and strategic thinker
o Detail oriented
o Proficient in Excel
