Under direction of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions (Director) the Senior Associate Director of Admissions (Senior
Associate) leads a team of admissions professionals dedicated to first time in college and transfer recruitment with critical enrollment
goals to achieve. The recruitment team must manage their territories and students assigned to them to achieve metrics including applications
submitted, completed applications, and confirmed and enrolled students.Trains, supervises, sets priorities, and conducts performance
evaluations for the admissions counselors they lead. The Associate Director also manages an assigned recruitment territory including the
review, evaluation and initial undergraduate admission recommendation for applicants in accordance with university selection criteria.
Working closely with campus stakeholders, they execute strategies to meet Seattle University’s undergraduate enrollment goals and
objectives.The ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader who is a resilient and innovative problem solver, have excellent
organizational abilities with attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills that enable them to develop positive relationships with
key campus partners and provide personalized attention to prospective students, family members and key influencers throughout the admissions
process.
The Senior Associate collaborates with the Vice President for Enrollment (Vice President), the Associate VP,
the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, members of the leadership team in the Admissions Office, and colleagues across campus to develop
and execute the enrollment strategy for first time in college and transfer students.
The Senior Associate serves as
liaison with both Seattle University’s Fostering Scholars Program and Human Resources in managing our Tuition Exchange and Fachex
Program. This role includes regularly tracking applicant statuses for the respective programs and providing recommendations to the Director,
AVP, and Vice President on strategies that will result in yielding the most qualified students that are the best fit for SU.
They are responsible for managing and assigning recruitment responsibilities to staff including the review, evaluation and initial
undergraduate admission recommendation for applicants in accordance with university selection criteria.Marginal Job Functions
Meets with prospective Seattle University students through high school and community college visitations, campus interviews, on and
off-campus information sessions. Responds to telephone, email and internet inquiries. Other duties as assigned. Attends all major admission
events (preview days, open houses, etc.).
