The Employee Relations Associate takes charge of employee induction and orientation. S/he monitors and oversees the implementation of company policies and ensures that they are strictly enforced.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement policies, programs and procedures related to Employee Relations.
- Develop and administer progressive discipline policy and procedures.
- Review and approve employee disciplinary actions.
- Develop and interpret personnel policies consistent with HC policies.
- Ensure employee handbooks reflect current policy.
- Record performance and disciplinary issues working with managers and supervisors.
- Investigate complaints of non-acceptable actions and behaviors.
- Review and approve involuntary terminations consistent with labor policies and procedures.
- Conduct exit interviews for terminated employees.
- Provide feedback to HC and departmental management regarding trends revealed in exit interviews.
- Coordinate employee events like Christmas Party, Company team building and other related activities.
- Prepare written materials for documentation and conveying information.
- Consult and advise management to ensure compliance with legal and administrative requirements.
- Handles enrollment and deletion of employees to HMO/health card provider.
- Conducts company orientation to new hires.
- Enroll new hires into the biometric system.
- Processes employee’s government loans, EQB loans and credit card application.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Business Management, or similar fields
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills
- Great oral and written communication and people skills
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt quickly
- Flexible and proactive team player
- Capable of multitasking and can meet deadlines with minimum supervision
Good to have, but not required:
- Previous experience as an ER Associate or similar role (but since this is not required, we’re very much OPEN TO FRESH GRADUATES!)
- Knowledgeable/experienced in handling the different facets of HR
