We are currently seeking a Part Time Payroll / HR Specialist (approximately 20 hours per week). This position will report to the Controller and is responsible for weekly payroll processing, employee benefit administration, record management, and recruitment support.
Payroll:
– Process weekly payroll
– Download weekly payroll reports
– Complete Journal Entry Spreadsheet
– Complete Work Comp Spreadsheet
– Complete InterCompany Billing Spreadsheet
– Complete any Worker Comp TPD sheets
– Update any employee changes (rate, address, tax deductions, etc.)
– Tracking and payout of sign-on and referral bonuses
Human Resources:
Recruiting
– Post new job ads on Indeed and/or Craigslist
– Review resumes, schedule interviews, follow-up
– Assist with creation of job descriptions
New Hire
– Onboarding (paperwork) with new hires
– Enter new hires into ADP
– Report new hires on NH website
– Scan all personnel items into HR Drive (shred originals)
– Driver Files – keep organized and up to date (this is not scanned yet)
Benefits
– Reconcile monthly insurance bills, approve, and pass to a/p
– Enroll new hires once qualify for benefits (1st of month after 60 days)
– Assist with Annual Open Enrollment rollout, paperwork
– Keep digital copies of all enrollment forms
Time Off
– Update Shared Time Off Calendar
– Enter paid time off into ADP
– Scan / save digitally
– Monitor rollover of pto (ensure no one loses time because not used)
Miscellaneous
– Unemployment claims
– Management & acknowledgement of staff birthdays
