Responsibilities:
The HR Generalist will Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies and procedures, state and federals laws and regulations.
Provide management with guidance on handling performance issues, corrective action plans, and involuntary terminations.
The HR Generalist will Respond to general employee relations issues
The HR Generalist will Create and/or facilitate various training events for management and associates.
Assist with job descriptions for new and existing positions and perform compensation analysis for different jobs.
Assists with EEOC/DOL claims and any other claims filed against the company, including gathering historical employment data and company data.
Assist with OSHA / Safety initiatives for the various offices and manage safety program for all regions assigned.
The HR Generalist will Work with management on promotions and staff changes to ensure proper documentation is received and work with the HR Data Processing team to ensure changes are processed in the payroll system.
Other work related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The HR Generalist will have 2-4 years experience in Human Resources Management
The HR Generalist will have 1+ years experience with employee relations
Strong working knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to the Human Resources field
The HR Generalist will haveStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word & Excel
Compensation and job description experience, a plus
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Ability to produce accurate and timely work
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proven success working under minimal supervision
Experience with Ultipro (Ultimate) Payroll/HR system, a plus
Working conditions
Over 90% of the time is spent indoors, with protection from weather conditions. Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable is present in only unusual situations.
Physical requirements
Sitting, talking, hearing and near vision are required over 90% of the time, while walking is required about 10% of the time. Standing is required over 30% of the time. The sense of touch is required 90% of the time and reaching is required about 50% of the time. Bending, twisting, and climbing are required, as is far vision, but only for 10% or less of the time. Low levels of lifting (10 pounds or less) are required about 25% of the time, while medium levels (20 to 40 pounds) of lifting and carrying are required less than 5% of the time. High levels (52 pounds) of lifting are required under 2% of the time. Driving is a considerable portion of the position.
To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Ciox Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
