The ideal candidate will have the experience to effectively run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including (but not limited to) employee onboarding, new hire orientation, payroll, billings and invoices. Excellent analytic and critical thinking skills, as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills, are critical in this role. The Human Resource Generalist will report directly to the Chief Human Resource Officer and work with cross-functional teams to ensure the organization is advancing impactful initiatives aligned with Savills goals and objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs
Conducts new hire onboarding and new hire orientation
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
Develop and maintain job descriptions for all non-broker staff
Develop and maintain organizational charts
Review weekly payroll reports to ensure accurate and timely payments
Process HR related billings and invoices
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
May perform other responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFCATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of related experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization at all levels and functions and to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to interpret varying circumstances and provide solutions to varying challenges.
Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor and/or management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability develop and deliver presentations that synthesize complex problems and recommended solutions.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions including percentages, discounts and commissions
Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), research techniques, and project management.
Knowledge of HRIS Software preferred.
Experience in commercial real estate preferred.
