Nature of Work

Examples of Work Performed

1. Establish mastery of features, utilization, configurations, etc. in the
   retention software environment and work with NATS and vendor to ensure that local instance is fully installed and configured to optimize WSC
   use case.
2. Work directly with retention software for retention purposes including academic updates, referrals, communication with
   appropriate stakeholders for students’ success, and communication to campus on software initiatives and changes.
3. Manage group
   assignments, privacy settings for students, case-load manager access, and user types (academic advisor vs peer mentor, etc.).
4. Train
   case-load managers on usage of the retention software system and management of student groups within the student information system
   environment.
5. Train case-load managers on academic needs assessment, low-level interventions, campus resources and referral
   processes.
6. Manage the assignment of early alerts and other outreach campaigns through the retention software system.
7. Provide training to Holland Academic Success Center and external units across campus in the retention software system.
8. Provide
   programmatic leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive and cohesive support program for first year at-risk students including
   identification and intervention programs.
9. Support early-alert outreach and academic advisement services for first-year at-risk
   students in collaboration with other professional staff in the Holland Academic Success Center.
10. Conduct pertinent retention
    assessments, e.g. qualitative focus groups and assemble retention statistics for dissemination to key stakeholders.
11. Other duties as
    assigned.
