WaveFly is looking for an IT Field Support Technician to service our clients in our Huntsville, AL market including Birmingham and Florence.
The Field Support Technician will be responsible for the daily processing and remote troubleshooting of trouble tickets within our system. The role also requires dispatch to client sites for onsite repair, replacement and troubleshooting of network PON, Wireless APs and TV equipment as well as cabling infrastructure.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Making calls to customers to troubleshoot issues.
– Resolving TV issues on DISH MDU platforms.
– Detailed documentation and accurate tracking of all tickets assigned and worked.
– Updating, submitting, and maintaining configuration files for MDU networks and coordinating with engineering to develop network topologies.
– Utilizing diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve network, Wi-Fi, and IPTV equipment issues.
– Analyzing existing client network infrastructure for deteriorating hardware and then relaying details to supervisor for suggested upgrades.
– Work effectively with other departments across various regions to maintain business continuity and thorough reporting practices to management.
– On call that includes after hours and emergency weekend support as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
– Must be proficient in managing a customer route for MDU properties.
– Working knowledge of basic network, IPTV and Cable TV theory and troubleshooting skills.
– Must have familiarity with basic internet troubleshooting skills and cabling protocols.
– Network management skills are a plus.
– Must maintain a clean driving record.
– Must have a clean criminal record and pass drug screen and background check.
– Must be punctual and professional in appearance and demeanor.
– Must be willing to work additional hours when requested or needed based on business needs.

Company vehicle and tools are provided.
Pay: $45,000.00 yearly salary after training period
