Esskay, Inc Hiring for LTE 5G Core Network Architect Job at Remote Full Time

Esskay Telecom Inc, an emerging Telecom solutions provider is currently seeking LTE 5G Core Network Architect for its Fortune 500 Client.

SUMMARY

You are a Core Network architect with strong background and experience in the 3GPP Core Network, focusing on 5G SA. You are able to drive requirements and discuss the architecture and the details of specific features, both internally and with outside vendors. You demonstrate both breadth and depth of knowledge, with the ability to understand the big picture but also to work in the details of a solution in one specific focused feature. Participation in 3GPP SA2 standards will be required to stay up-to-date with new features and help drive the selection of new network features requirements for Client.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage, problem solve, and communicate across the team to drive successful initiatives
• Design and execute PoCs and trials to evaluate new features. Decide on scope of the PoC/trial, methodology, and objectives and then work with vendor’s personnel to execute on those
• Participation in standards meeting may be required (3GPP SA2 and SA Plenary)
• Write detailed requirements specifications that are to be delivered to device OEMs and network equipment vendors on new features
• Evaluate vendor’s offerings
• Work with outside vendors on architecture and high-level design of solutions
• Participate in deep-dive technical discussions with vendors and partners
• Create inventions geared towards driving enhancements of Client networks (in 3GPP, CBRS, and Wi-Fi).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 8+ years of experience in 3GPP wireless networks is required
• Experience in 3GPP 5G Core Network is required
• Ability to do both detail-oriented and big-picture work, based on the topics and on Client’s priorities
• Collaborative individual, enjoys working in a team-focused environment
• Dynamic individual able to work in different topics simultaneously and balance priorities
• Strong ownership of initiatives, self-motivated and with a desire to have an impact in a fast-changing ecosystem
• Previous experience in standards activities is beneficial
• This position is remote but may require occasional travel for client meetings.
