Staff Accountant

Sky Climber®, headquartered in Delaware, Ohio, is the industry leader in designing, manufacturing, and distributing suspended access equipment used in industrial/commercial construction and maintenance applications.

Sky Climber® seeks a highly motivated, Staff Accountant with strong fundamental accounting skills. This position will report to the Controller. This position is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact in the business with their accounting expertise and experience. The Staff Accountant should be a self-starter who is focused, detail-oriented, enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Confidentiality is a must in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monthly reporting and project management
• Assist in providing financial information to external auditors
• General ledger journal entries related to payroll and related benefits
• Application of cash receipts
• Processes monthly closing and preparation of financial reports for assigned companies
• Analyze Financials and collaborate with Leadership to identify drivers of performance
• Focus on reviewing and improving department processes
• Perform other duties/special projects as assigned

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

• Experience in Finance or Accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with members of Leadership at all levels
• Experience using accounting software (ERP software – in manufacturing preferred)
• Attention to detail – big picture and critical thinking to validate work
• Results orientated with natural sense of urgency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
