Position Overview
Under general direction, serves as administrative support, handling special projects for the Director of the Office of Clinical, Administrative and Program Support (OCAPS), some of which are complex in nature. Develops and prepares special reports, including tracking and assigning legislative bills to OCAPS staff. Serves as special assistant to the Director assisting with developing, compiling, and organizing information for the preparation of special operating requests for OCAPS. Performs administrative functions for OCAPS pharmacy staff rosters. Monitors and records dates of Leave of Absences (LOA’s). Maintains and updates Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave tracking database, including conferring with payroll on issues and/or concerns. Monitors performance evaluation due dates to verify target dates are met and objectives are submitted in a timely manner. Serves as backup Personnel Liaison for OCAPS. Interprets and explains OCAPS and Department policies and procedures. Serves as timekeeper for assigned staff.
Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
Requires one year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
