We are seeking a versatile graphic designer with 5-7 years of experience to join our team. Reporting to the Creative Director, our ideal candidate can turn ideas into engaging creative that carry a client’s brand story through identity, print, packaging, and digital as part of a highly collaborative team culture. They will have a track record of creating engaging digital experiences, with an emphasis on website design.
Our studio values having a range of styles, skill sets, and perspectives on our design team. The ideal candidate will present a portfolio with an aesthetic that demonstrates a distinct visual style that differs from the work showcased on our website.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
+ Deliver thoughtful and forward-looking design, taking ownership of deliverables through execution
+ Listen to client needs and work with team members to generate design solutions
+ Demonstrate leadership and collaborative spirit throughout the design process, from ideation and brainstorming, to internal reviews and critiques
+ Confidently communicate the strategic thinking behind your design concepts to the team, receiving constructive criticism and taking initiative to learn and grow
+ Work with the Creative Director and Project Leads to manage workloads across the team
+ Maintain the highest standards of quality, taking responsibility to ensure that only the best work is released to clients
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ 5+ years of graphic design experience in digital and print within a studio or agency
+ Degree in Graphic Design or related discipline
+ Proven ability to collaborate with a creative team
+ Experience handling tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
+ Strong point-of-view and familiarity with current typography, color, and design trends
+ Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Photoshop, etc.) with a strong foundation in industry best practices
+ Demonstrated experience producing files for print production and digital production
+ Proficient in building and maintaining design systems across touchpoints and platforms
+ Solid understanding of best practices in UX, UI, and accessibility
+ Familiarity with using digital CMS and marketing platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Mailchimp, and Emma, including an understanding of how designs are translated into custom themes and templates
+ Motivation to learn new software/tools and keep skills sharp
+ Additional animation/motion graphics skills (After Effects) and coding/development skills (HTML/CSS/PHP/JS) are a plus
