Kansas Department of Revenue – CAMA Specialist
Full-Time/Benefits Eligible – M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary: Provides telephone support primarily to county appraisers and secondarily to county clerks, treasurers and other division staff on the use of the Kansas Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system. Researches reported issues with the Kansas CAMA system to determine whether they are due to system problems or user error. Reports system issues to Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) Information Systems (IS) and/or appropriate application vendor. Develops and conducts training sessions in the use of the Kansas CAMA system. Prepares written instructions for county officials in describing Kansas CAMA procedures or changes. Creates or modifies queries and reports based on data availability from the Kansas CAMA system.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Licenses & Certifications: Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license to perform the essential functions of this position.
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Experience: Use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Access. Orion or similar CAMA applications. Troubleshooting and reporting technical issues. Basic knowledge of mass appraisal terminology and procedures.
