The Medical Biller will be responsible for increasing business profitability by effectively managing timely medical coding, authorizations, billing/charge entry, accurate coding, analyzing denials, rejections and seeking the best approach to overturn, and reducing days in accounts receivable.

Job Duties:

• Submitting electronic and paper claims to various insurance companies
• Answering patient inquires on account statues and charges
• Resolving patient complaints regarding insurance and billing charges
• Submitting prior authorizations for various insurances
• Posting insurance and patient payments
• Resolve unpaid and denied claims
• Properly communicating to other office personnel regarding patient accounts
• Adjust accounts receivable to reconcile accounts
• Processing patient statements
• All other duties assigned

MUST have:

• Computer skills in a windows environment, including word and excel software
• Basic knowledge of ICD-10 coding
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of variety of insurance guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid(s) and more.
• Knowledge on insurance and reimbursement processes

• Knowledge in Brightree patient management software

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and flexible team environment

• Experience with insurance billing, patient accounting systems and other related applications preferred

Education/Experience Required

• 3 – 5 years Medical Billing
• Extensive knowledge in Durable Medical Equipment Billing (DME)

Pay: $16.00 – $30.00 per hour
