The Associate Manager, Logistics Operations will be responsible for leading regional locations of Logistics Operations to deliver excellence in customer service at the lowest cost. You’ll be the owner of the interface with the Logistics Service Provider(s) (LSPs) and SC Johnson (SCJ) personnel to drive continuous improvement, cost reduction initiatives, meet aggressive budget expectations, and economize/right-size warehouse material handling fleet. In this role, you’ll drive ongoing network distribution modeling efforts to ensure low operational costs and high service expectations are optimized, as well as be an expert in day-to-day warehouse operations, throughput capacity management, fixed/variable cost analysis and LSP contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop regional tactical and resource plans to deliver logistics regional strategies
Develop LSP partnerships and manage regional logistics performance
Interface of the cluster business needs to the logistics function
Service
Manage the LSP(s) to meet budget and operational key performance indicators (KPIs)
Ensure all regional logistics warehouse operations are operated in full compliance to all relevant SCJ and country legal standards regarding health & safety, environmental, dangerous goods management, transport, GEN24 and import / export regulations

Inventory management within the network
Overtime and throughput capacity
Contract management

Deliver budget expectations
Cost savings through sustainable continuous improvement

Partner with Customer Supply Chain to ensure the business priorities are delivered in Logistics Operations

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related business degree or military experience considered in lieu of education requirement
5+ years of warehouse operations experience and LSP management
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Supply chain experience in other disciplines
Demonstrated people leadership and competency
Strong analytic skills; the ability to powerfully portray data and leverage to drive continuous improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across the organization
Project management skills
The ability to build business partnerships and external collaboration opportunities wherever possible
Significant experience with Lean practice; Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification preferred
Job Requirements:
Up to 20% travel
Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees
