Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities • Hiring and training a team of efficient and reliable crew members • Establishing a systematic plan to perform and complete a specific utility service contract • Completing and managing field reports, payroll, and other administrative records • Monitoring and ensuring crew safety, quality, and production standards • Maintaining excellent working relationships with customer representatives • Maintaining the company truck, equipment, tools, and computer locations Once a Foreman and crew have started work on a contract, they will be in routine contact with Osmose supervisory personnel for assistance in solving field problems and reviewing procedures. These routine visits also provide management with the opportunity to evaluate each Foreman’s professional development and crew performance. Dedicated to Safety At Osmose, there is nothing more important than safety. Work?ing safely in the field and around utility lines requires diligence, and we take pride in our excellent safety record. All employees must be committed to maintaining a safe work environment and make crew safety their top priority. Willing to Travel To inspect our customer’s poles, we have to walk the line, and that means going to where the work is. While on the road, accommodations for the Foreman and crew will vary. Hotels and efficiency lodging are common scenarios. The Kind of Person Who Thrives on Hard Work & Overcomes Challenges Working outdoors is definitely a challenge. Weather can vary from season to season and from state to state, and Mother Nature can, at times, be very unpredictable. The terrain you walk won’t always be flat, the ground you dig won’t always be soft, and the crew members you lead won’t always be easy to manage. There’s no way around it; being a Foreman for Osmose isn’t an easy job. It involves extensive physical work on a daily basis, but your Osmose supervisor will be there to help you succeed.
