Job Title: Facility Operations Manager
Reports to: Corporate and/or Sr. V.P. of Operations
Direct Reports: 25 – 30 Employees
Operations Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. to finish
Occasional Saturdays to meet production goals
Travel: Light for special projects
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
Position Summary
Fully responsible and accountable for the critical functions, processes, and procedures of plant operations to include production and quality of product, receiving, inspecting, repairing, inventory, shipping, continuous improvement, operational fiscal accountability, customer service delivery, administration and compliance of human resources and employee relations, and equipment and technology needs.
Position Details and Duties
? Drive daily communications between the plant and the home office through multiple modes of communication
? Represent DLM appropriately with our customers.
? Ensure focus in day-to-day operations to include but not limited to quality and on-time
performance.
? Make certain that supplies and repair materials meet company specifications and are
used in accordance to company guidelines
? Monitor and drive quality through sort and repair processes
? Full ownership for plant operation’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
? Ensure successful implementation and continuation of quality processes.
? Drive process improvement across all aspects of the operations
? Identify and drive initiatives and efficiencies
? Ensure that inventory reporting and audit processes are in place and adhered to
? Assure accurate, timely and proper receiving and shipping of end product
? Monitor and drive employee safety
? Ensure facility sanitation and cleanliness
? Monitor and maintain risk management and loss control
? Track and manage costs and expenses
? Function successfully in both warehouse and corporate environments
? Operate independently with minimal supervision
? Schedule personnel based on client needs and schedule
? Create and transmit data and various reports to corporate
? Audit daily labor and billing reports
? Handle deposits and cash
? Oversee all human resources-related matters to include recruitment, training, file
maintenance and confidentiality, counseling and coaching, conflict management and
resolution, progressive discipline and documentation, limited knowledge of benefits,
Unemployment, worker’s comp, and state and federal compliance requirements
? Other duties as deemed relevant and necessary
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
? 3-5 years of operations and line production experience
? Self-starter who can work independently in a remote location
? Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Demonstrated ability to develop and foster relationships across all functions
? Proven track record in the supervision of warehouse employee human resources
matters
? Excellent multi-tasking skills
? Strong ability to make decisions, problem-solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the
workforce in an ever-changing warehouse environment.
? Knowledge of and ability to execute within an efficient, safe, and productive
environment
? Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
? Understanding of basic accounting principles
? Ability to quickly develop and execute plans in an ever-changing environment of
priorities
? Able to think on your feet
? Knowledgeable of Microsoft office programs including MS Word and Excel
? Possess intermediate computer literacy and skills
? Being adept at seeing the big picture as well the small details
? Experience with heavy warehouse equipment is preferred.
? College degree is a plus but not a requirement
? Meet hiring eligibility requirements including background investigation, reference
checks and pre-employment drug screen.
? Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
? Stands, bends, stoops, squats, reaches, twists, and otherwise moves continuously
during the workday
? Frequently walks throughout the workday
? Occasionally reaches above shoulder level to lift or otherwise move objects that weigh
30 – 50 pounds
? Pushes and pulls occasionally
? Functions and operates comfortably in a very active fast-paced environment
? Endures extreme temperatures of heat and cold
? Withstands loud noise and distractions
? Timely and regular physical attendance is required to properly manage the unloading
process
