Your main duties include processing payroll, maintaining cloud-based personnel records, updating and managing HR documents (employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases. You will handle written and verbal employee queries with the highest confidentiality, correspond with recruitment agencies and candidates and schedule interviews, organize training sessions and events, update company policies and ensuring they comply with labor laws.
You should exhibit strong decision-making skills with an understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training. Top candidates will be comfortable managing grey areas, and can anticipate where support may be needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Organize and maintain human resource records
Update and maintain internal databases (payroll, benefits)
Prepare HR documents like offer letters and new hire guides
Reconcile vendor invoices
Facilitate HR onboarding for new hires
Screen candidates for initial interviews by reviewing and selecting resumes
Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
Ensure compliance with state payroll and state unemployment insurance tax registrations and filings
Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (turnover rates)
Develop and facilitate employee engagement activities
Answer employees’ queries about HR-related issues (401k, benefits, etc.)
Assist with performance management planning and reviews
Support employees’ job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly
