About the Position:
We are seeking a talented and super-organized Senior HR Generalist or HR Manager (based on qualifications) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your passion for supporting others while growing in your career. In this role, you will own many People operation functions as well as contribute to impactful company-wide programs. The ideal candidate will be a selfless and service-oriented HR Practitioner who brings the perfect balance of HR knowledge, technical proficiency, professional maturity, and natural leadership qualities.
As a Senior HR Generalist (or HR Manager) at Talroo, you will:
Provide exceptional administrative support across a spectrum of functions including talent acquisition, employment life cycle, cultural initiatives, and all day-to-day HR administrative activities
Work closely with HR Coordinator to maintain the ATS (Greenhouse) and the recruitment support functions for Talent Acquisition including interview scheduling, candidate stages, job postings, reporting, and related correspondence while ensuring compliance, data integrity, and white glove service for stakeholders and candidates
Maintain and operate daily in HRIS system (Zenefits) including data entry, status changes, offer letters, reporting, and periodic audits
Employ stellar customer service and communication skills while serving as point of contact for all HR inquiries
Ensure timely processing of unemployment claims, employment verification requests, and related external paperwork as needed
Provide compensation support to leaders for semiannual company compensation analysis and promotions.
Partner with the HR team to innovate, improve, align, and drive the efficiency of HR workflows
Serve as a go-to resource (alongside HR Coordinator) for all things Payroll. This includes duties such as owning and processing semi-monthly Salaried, Hourly and commission-based payroll in Zenefits, along with 401k contributions, various deductions and garnishments, payroll master register maintenance, reporting, and end-to-end state tax account setup as we expand into new states
Partner closely with Central Support teams on cultural initiatives such as candidate and new hire experiences, employee engagement programs, team event planning, volunteer opportunities and special projects
Own and/or assist with many recurring initiatives such as Open Enrollment, ACA compliance, audit requests, career fairs and related initiatives
At HR Manager level, this position will directly manage, coach, develop, and mentor our HR Coordinator(s).
What we’re looking for in a highly qualified candidate:
Passionate, positive, and trustworthy professional with 3+ years of relatable experience working closely with business partners, stakeholders, hiring managers, and HR teammates
Proven experience with providing phenomenal HR service within fast-growing, small to mid-sized organizations
Hands-on experience directly supporting and administering Talent Acquisition life cycle processes
Hands-on expertise with navigating and managing HRIS, ATS, and related platforms
Experience managing and processing payroll & 401k for an entire organization
Experience managing Corporate Wellness programs
Foundational knowledge in employment laws to include Title VII, ADA, FMLA, USERRA, ADEA
Highly skilled in task prioritization
Successful experience with coaching, mentoring, and training others
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources, or closely related field
Possesses a professional HR certification
BONUS: Experience using Zenefits Payroll and Greenhouse ATS
Demonstrated and highly developed technical proficiency with Office 365 suite of products and applications
Must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
Must reside in the greater Austin metro area (no relocation offered for this role)
