Starboard Group Hiring for Staff Accountant Job at Remote Full Time

The Starboard Group of Companies currently owns and operates 101 franchise restaurants of multiple brands. Some are quick service restaurants, and some are fast casual restaurants. Although we currently operate restaurants in seven states across the US, this is a remote work opportunity and all equipment furnished by us.

We are looking for bright, ambitious team players who have experience in a multi-unit environment and are seeking a rewarding career. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Preparation of Month-end Journal Entries.

· Prepare and review month end P&L’s variance analysis.

· Participates in month end P&L reviews with operations staff.

· Reconcile Bank Statements.

· Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts.

· Manage fixed assets sub-system.

· Conduct special projects, as directed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

· 2-5 years of accounting experience. Either Public, private or mixed

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong aptitude for learning new processes and techniques

Knowledge and experience in the following is desired:

Experience with Great Plains a plus.

Knowledge of inter-relationship of the income statement to the balance sheet.

Experience of working remotely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
