Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
The Wellstar School of Nursing (WSON) offers BSN and MSN degrees and is one of the largest programs in Georgia. The WSON graduates more new Baccalaureate nurses than other programs in Georgia. The WSON currently employs more than 60 full-time faculty and numerous part-time faculty. A five-year plan to increase undergraduate enrollment is underway. The WSON is housed within the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services, which includes departments of Social Work and Human Services, Health Promotion and Physical Education, and Exercise Science and Sports Management as well as an Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth.
Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for nine-month, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing faculty positions in the Wellstar School of Nursing beginning August 2023.
Responsibilities
The position will report to the Director of the Wellstar School of Nursing. Primary teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level in didactic courses, which may also include clinical courses. Lab or clinical teaching in a professional setting may be incorporated into workload. There is also an expectation of service to the department, college, university, and/or professional community.
Other responsibilities include:
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
