Duties/Responsibilities:
Administer all employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts, voluntary coverages, and COBRA
Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
Enrolls employees with carriers and processes life status changes.
Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
Leads and rolls out our annual open enrollment program
Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
Administers and manages 401k through Paylocity and Fidelity
Administers the reimbursement program.
Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
Advises process improvements or benefit changes by measuring trends, evaluating best practices, and new technologies in human resources
Responsible for workers comp and OSHA policies and program management
Oversee all ACA reporting and stay up to date on regulatory changes affecting benefit plans and ensures company benefit plans and practices are compliant with external regulatory requirements
Monitors current market, programs, trends, and costs to evaluate effectiveness of benefit programs, maximizing plan effectiveness and competitiveness
Review, interpret and recommend policy, process, or program improvements for employee compensation, incentive programs, benefit and perk offerings, and HRIS data management and structure
Leads our rewards and benefits programs, ensures they are market-competitive, aligned with our business strategy and are equitable across all diversity lenses
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
Required:
Two years’ experience in HR Generalist or Benefits capacity
Knowledge of the Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to Total Rewards programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.).
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.or equivalent through experience
System experience working with Paylocity, Alliant, and Fidelity
Multi-state benefits exposures
Start up experience
SHRM-CP or PHR

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.
