Through our college,career and military readiness guidance program, all students will be challenged to explore theirpassions, interests, and talents leading to continued growth and engagement. As a result, allstudents will be able to identify personal strengths that can be applied to achieve their academic,career, and personal/social goals. SST High School CCMR Program Beliefs: All students have significance and worth. All students – regardless of ability, age, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation-shallhave equal access to all services (academic, career, and personal/social) provided bythe CCMR program and the school. With a comprehensive college, career and military guidance program and the rightsocial and emotional support, all students can achieve outstanding results andgraduate from high school, college, career and military ready. Project Lead The WayPLTW courses are nationally standardized, project-based courses that prepare students for college-level work and their career paths. PLTW curriculum empowers students to solve real-world challenges through engaging and hands-on learning projects. SST offers PLTW programs in three career pathways: Engineering, Biomedical Science, and Computer Science. Program offerings vary by campus. PLTW EngineeringAvailable under the STEM endorsement – Engineering pathway courses teach students to develop the problem-solving mindset of an engineer. Throughout the four-year course work, students will engage in real-life challenges such as designing a home or programming a robotic arm. SST Engineering Course Sequence: PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design; PLTW Aerospace Engineering; PLTW Principles of Engineering; PLTW Engineering Design and Development. PLTW Biomedical ScienceAvailable under the STEM endorsement – Biomedical Science pathway courses allow students to see themselves in the role of biomedical professionals as they solve real-world challenges, such as preventing, diagnosing, and treating disease and investigating the death of a fictional person. SST Biomedical Science Course Sequence: PLTW Principles of Biomedical Science; PLTW Human Body Systems; PLTW Medical Interventions; PLTW Biomedical Innovations. PLTW Computer ScienceAvailable under the STEM endorsement – Programming and Software Development pathway courses empower students with in-demand knowledge and skills they will use in high school and for the rest of their lives, on any career path they choose. SST Programming and Software Development Course Sequence: PLTW Computer Science Essentials; PLTW Computer Science Principles; AP Computer Science A; Game Programming and Design.
