Medical Lab Tech
Position Summary:
Performs chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more functions of laboratory sections. Maintains recorded of performance as defined in the laboratory’s general and sectional policy and procedure manuals.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensures that all policies and procedures are performed as defined in section policy and procedure manuals approved by the Medical Director of the Laboratory. The employee performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for the age/condition of the patient. The employee performs additional tasks/activities as assigned. It is the responsibility of each employee to maximize the resources of the hospital. As a member of the Medical Center of Arlington team, the employee makes a significant contribution to the hospital. The employee performs all services that are necessary for job performance, which include but, are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.

Minimum Education/Licensure/Certificates:
Associate degree or Military training Certificate required. Registry required with AMT or ASCP.
Minimum Experience: One year experience in one or more medical laboratory areas preferred. Hospital or clinical laboratory experience is preferred. Recent graduates of an MLT program. The one year internship will suffice.
