Job Description
EMCAS is looking for a Web Developer to join our team. Our Training Team supports website management and training product development for Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Acquisition University (DAU) and the Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) Learning Management Systems (LMSs) so a strong knowledge of those frameworks are a must. A successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of current DoD SCORM requirements and basic DoD Training Processes identified in Process MIL-PRF-29612. They will be comfortable working in a team environment, and with other departments at all levels of the organization. They will share their expertise with the product teams to aid in decision making and technical solutioning.

Position Requirements:
Design, develop and maintain new features of the multi-tier web-based application hosted on DoD classified and unclassified networks (MS SQL and Windows servers).
Work collaboratively with the product team and our external resources to design develop and apply our concepts into the DoD websites and LMSs.
Write well designed, testable, and efficient code in line with DoD web development best practices.
Optimize, expand, and maintenance of DoD websites and communities of practice.
Provide support to cover all areas of the software development lifecycle to include the development of platforms and features across multiple subsystems, collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing, training, deployment, operations, and sustainment support.
Analyze information and user requirements, design and debug software, document software, software testing, problem-solving, requirements collection, stakeholder collaboration, user support, and system maintenance.
Qualifications:
Two years of experience in web development using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS (SASS) and Adobe Captivate.
Experience with Integration of other web-based technologies with a structured query language database server.
Strong knowledge and understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and development practices.
Previous experience in a professional environment and ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
