Job Summary
We are currently seeking a part-time Human Resources Co-op for Spring 2023. This position is located in either in Columbus, Ohio or can be remote.
The Human Resources Co-Op will: provides support to the Human Resources team with a focus on Talent Strategy sub-disciplines, including Compensation, Talent Programs, and Learning and Development. Partners with team and key stakeholders to provide administrative support for Battelle’s Compensation related programs. Follows internal processes and procedures, while providing accurate, confidential and time-sensitive information to all levels of Battelle employees and other parties, as directed. The Human Resources Co-Op will take initiative where appropriate and applies creativity and an optimistic mindset. Job is flexible with regards to the number of hours worked and schedule, with a preference for a 20 hour work week.
Responsibilities
Reviews existing job descriptions and internal operating procedures to determine if updates/modifications are needed.
Supports the annual compensation planning process by running standard reports and auditing plans for adherence to established guidelines.
Assists with participation in annual salary surveys and market pricing reviews.
Assists with ongoing project work.
Assists with managing Rewards & Recognition programs, such as troubleshooting issues, responding to inquiries, and pulling reports.
Researches trends in the talent landscape and provides summaries and presentations on related topics.
Participates in content review and collaborative sessions regarding Battelle talent programs and training materials.
Key Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Human Resources or equivalent field.
Must be at least a junior standing or higher.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Proven ability to successfully work independently or as part of a larger team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Related work experience (paid or unpaid) is preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
