Medical Office Coordinator
Overview
The Office Coordinator supports the clinic through exemplary customer service to our patients, adhering to established protocols and work processes, and successfully managing volume without ever compromising quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
Greeting and welcoming patients
Organizing and coordinating patient in-take and other appointments
Accurately enters/updates patient information in system
Assisting patients with completion of paperwork when necessary
Scanning, updating and filing medical records
Answering phone calls, questions, etc. in a prompt and polite manner
Handling cash and payments accurately and responsibly
Providing outstanding customer service to every patient
Informing clinic administrator or clinic manager of waiting room wait times, patient inquiries, etc.
Qualifications
A candidate’s qualifications will include:
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Detail-oriented and a team player
Computer Proficiency (including Microsoft Suite) and superior keyboarding skills
Happy, welcoming, and can-do attitude with patients and co-workers
Flexible/adaptable nature to work in a continuously evolving environment
Must exhibit passion for outstanding results and compassion for those we work with and serve
Up to one year of experience working in any high-volume/high-intensity service industry (e.g., hospitality, restaurant, hospital, medical office or retail environment)
Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients and other staff members
Bilingual a plus
Additional Information
This job will require designated shifts during clinic hours.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and stand for periods of time.
