The part-time HR Generalist is responsible for providing guidance and support in areas of HR including full lifecycle talent acquisition and management, employee relations, policy/procedure documentation, and employment and regulatory compliance
You will utilize your HR functional expertise to align critical human resources principles with business objectives
Takes an active role in all aspects of the employee experience, from engaging with new employees, through the various steps of the employee lifecycle.
Promote positive employee relations in the work environment through use of effective HR processes.
Semi-monthly processing of payroll (Paychex)
Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, benefits, and internal procedures and regulations
Develop templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Administer employee benefits including medical and ancillary benefits, 401K plan, FMLA, and workers’ compensation, and assist with open enrollment.
Maintain digital files and records for employees through Paychex system
Qualifications:
A great attitude
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources required
2-4 years of experience in an HR Generalist capacity
HR Generalist experience in California a significant plus
Experience with full cycle recruiting
Proven understanding local, state and federal laws
Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Have the utmost integrity
