DEFINITION
Create marketing, outreach, and promotional materials for Town of Danville projects, initiatives, and programs. Provides support to all Town departments through the development, design, and production of print and digital collateral. Utilizing professional design software and an understanding of brand consistency and visual messaging, will develop the quarterly printed newsletter and activity guide, social media graphics, project fact sheets, event posters and flyers, and other materials as needed for public outreach.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives direction from the Public Information Officer. This position does not exercise supervision of others.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of professional graphic design, including print production and digital content creation for a single client, such as in-house creative or brand management.
Education:
Equivalent to completion of a bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, art, public relations, or related field. In-house or government design experience preferred, but not required.
LICENSE(S) AND CERTIFICATION(S)
Possession of a valid California State Driver’s License, or license in another state with the ability to obtain a California license within 30 days of hire.
