The Manager, Human Resources (“MHR”) will provide full and diversified Human Resources Support to employees. The MHR will work closely and report directly to the Director, Human Resources Business Partner (“HRBP”) in this mid-stage entrepreneurial company experiencing dramatic growth. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, a flexible, team-oriented attitude, and the ability to work independently, typically managing different and conflicting objectives and projects simultaneously. The MHR will be exposed to both employee and client sensitive information, and thus must use considerable tact, diplomacy, discretion, and independent judgment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Plan, monitor, and manage HR activities by effectively resolving employee grievances.
Train managers in how to coach, discipline, and counsel employees.
Handle confidential matters with discretion.
Effectively coach leaders and employees and on how to build thoughtful, customized career development plans.
Partner with managers to create and maintain career ladders/competency models for a variety of roles.
Cultivate and build trusting relationships with employees and managers.
Ensure compliance with national and local HR regulations by conducting thorough investigations and maintaining records.
Oversee and refine employee standards and procedures, using existing HR systems as well as suggestions for improvements.
Be a champion for employees. Connecting their aspirations with the needs of the business; and helping employees understand the “why” behind executive leadership decisions.
Lead, along with guidance of HR leadership, the performance review process.
Support departments in developing and delivering strategic HR plans that fit with the overall business direction.
Champion the onboarding process by ensuring that it’s high-quality and up to date and provide clarity and connection for employees so their roles serve the overall business vision.
Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human-resources policies and procedures.
Build strong relationships with external suppliers/vendors, fostering trust and promoting collaboration.
Develop and manage learning and development plans ensuring a consistent approach across all sites.

Minimum Preferred Qualifications – Education/Experience:
Education: B.S. Degree in Human Resources, psychology, or related field. Equivalent years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
7-10 years of HR leadership, preferably in clinical research or pharmaceutical organization.
2-5 years of developing and implementing learning and development plans for employees as well as managers.
Proven ability to navigate employee relations issues effectively and confidently with managers.

Preferred Credentials:
Human Resources Certification from HRCI or SHRM highly desirable.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will have 1 direct report.
Working Environment:
Primarily office (i.e., blend of office and work-from-home)
Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for up to eight (8) hours per day.
Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate office equipment.
Occasional mobility needed.
Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moving) objects, including files, office supplies, luggage, and laptop computer, with a maximum lift of 20 pounds.
Ability to access and use a variety of computer software.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand, with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.
Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals; requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
Ability to perform under stress and multi-task.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position.
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours as published in the BioAgilytix Employee Handbook
Occasional weekend, holiday, and evening work required.
