Participates in information security-related projects and ensures people, processes, and technology aligns with the desired security posture of the organization. Possesses the necessary training and experience in meeting the security needs of the agency and its employees across the enterprise and in multiple locations. Reports directly to the agency Information Security Officer (ISO). Assists the ISO in administering and managing operations and the prime mission of the agency cybersecurity program to include the protection of information and agency assets. Aids in the development of the organization’s security policies and procedures, security awareness program, the information security portion of the business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and all industry and government compliance issues.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in computer science/Information Technology/ Information Security or related field from an accredited college or university OR equivalent experience AND two (2) years of proven experience and demonstrated success in technology leadership with an emphasis on information security and data governance. Must currently hold an entry-level cyber certification per State guidelines or willing to achieve within 12 months of start date in any one of the following: (Security+, Network+, Linux+, MTA, GISF*). Any GIAC-certified entry-level certification is accepted. Applicants must possess SRTA’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration, Customer Focus, and Diversity.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Information Technology/Information Security/Cybersecurity or Business. More than three (3) years of proven experience in cybersecurity and information assurance.
Holds or is able to qualify for a US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clearance. Knowledge of state and federal laws and frameworks such as NIST. Work experience in the public sector is a plus, specifically in the toll, transit, or transportation industry.
