Current Vacancy Information:
There is one (1) vacancy with the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Support Services Division. This position plans, administers, organizes, directs and coordinates a comprehensive and varied island-wide Recreation Program utilizing department and community resources, through subordinate recreation coordinators responsible for citywide special events, program development and evaluation, staff and community needs assessment, coordination and staff training in specialty areas such as: Special Services (People’s Open Market & Therapeutic Recreation), Children and Youth, Senior Citizens, Sports and Aquatics, Culture and Arts.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with specialization in recreation, physical education, group work or a related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Five years of recreation experience, one of which shall have been in an administrative capacity.
Having the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as qualifying for the position. Your overall experience must have been of such scope, level and responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
