The Emergency Medical Technician provides patient care in accordance with KBEMS regulations and Sedgwick County EMS Protocols. Emergency Medical Technicians will work under direct supervision of a full time; non-probationary Sedgwick County EMS Paramedic to provide emergency care in accordance with protocol. EMT’s will provide safe transportation to and from health care facilities, as well as, transfer of care to persons with equal or higher level of care.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. One year experience in Emergency Medical Care or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities. State of Kansas Driver’s License and State of Kansas EMT Certification
Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree from an accredited college or university. One year of experience as an EMT
