Perform janitorial duties to maintain Borough facilities, equipment and furnishings in a safe, sanitary and presentable manner.

Maintain facilities in a safe, clean, sanitary manner in accordance with OSHA Regulations by perform janitorial duties including dusting, cleaning, waxing and/or polishing of facilities, equipment and furnishings.
Order and store supplies and equipment.
Operate and repair equipment and machinery used in performing duties.
Keep ramps and doorways clean of snow and garbage when necessary.
Respect patient rights by recognizing their rights and maintain confidentiality at all times. (HEALTH)
Perform other duties assigned.
Knowledge of Department and Borough policies and procedures.
Applicant must pass a criminal history background check conducted by the State of Alaska Background Check Unit; (Health Department Only)
Documentation that the individual is free from active pulmonary tuberculosis; (Health Department Only)
Valid Alaska Driver’s License that meets North Slope Borough Insurance Criteria. (Health Department-Barrow based positions Only)
