We have an immediate opening for a Communications Assistant to support our RFP proposal writing team within the Technical Training Academy!**Essential Responsibilities:**+ Prepares proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.+ Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings.+ Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal.+ Enters and monitors time sensitive tracking data.+ Answer client calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.+ Provide outstanding Administrative Support.+ Exceptional Customer Service including email, phone, and online or via email, heavy customer service phone support.+ Moderate filing, including management of confidential and secure documentation.+ Assist with projects and perform other duties and functions as requested.+ Assist with translating (both in writing and verbal) from English to Spanish.+ Successfully utilize all software programs as needed to perform responsibilities of the position.+ Assist in resolving any client issues and provide outstanding customer service.+ Assist fellow coworkers when needed in an effort to work as a team and provide leadership when needed (for ex: assisting with difficult clients, handling questions pertaining to sales, discounts, promotions, etc.).+ Have a flexible schedule as position may require employee to work additional hours, before or after, their set work schedule.+ Must have the ability to efficiently work with diverse individuals and properly communicate with other office locations.+ Must travel as needed between multiple office locations.**Required:**+ High school diploma.+ 5 or more years related experience.+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) is required.**Desired:**+ Oral and Written English and Spanish fluency.+ Bachelor s degree in English, journalism, creative writing, media, or related field.+ Minimum of 1-year experience in grant writing, prospect research, general fundraising or a minimum of 2 years comparable and transferable skills acquired in a professional setting.**Work Traits:**+ Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written+ Ability to effectively communicate and develop rapport with clients+ Technical documentation+ Layout skills+ Problem solving+ Deadline-oriented+ Process improvement+ Understanding of the construction training requirements.U.S. Eligibility Requirements:+ Interested candidates must submit an application and resume/CV online to be considered+ Must be 18 years of age or older+ Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
