Schaeffler USA, is seeking a qualified Set Up Operator I to support our Cheraw, SC location.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Setup and Operate machinery for production of high quality parts to Customer.
- Change tooling as required.
- Run production, making necessary adjustments.
- Perform some mechanical maintenance to keep equipment running.
- Verify sampling of parts for conformance to specification-Master all gages.
- Component lot control, shop order traceability and required documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and department.
- Follow all Company poilicies and procedures.
- Other duties as required by Supervisor.
- Check schedule and staging area for components to be run ensuring material is stage so that there are no gaps or delays in production.
- Ensure set up is correct and inspections have been performed prior to starting operation; Properly monitor all quality characteristics and plot all quality readings per control plan or SOP.
- Adhere to all Department procedures, routines, and requirements for proper control of all equipment parameters to ensure part conformity to Customer specifications.
Qualified candidates will have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to read manufacturing prints and gages (micrometers, etc.)
- Basic machematic skills.
- Able to safely lift 40 lbs.
- Three to five years Grinding / Turning / Milling experience. Set up preferred.
- Intelligence, Verbal, Numerical, Finger & Manual Dexterity, Motor Coordination, Hand-Eye Coordination, Spatial and Form Perception.
