Join our growing team at The Pillars Child Care, located in Minneapolis, MN near the U of MN. We are looking for a passionate Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team of amazing professionals in supporting Ebenezer’s Intergenerational program by caring for and supervising the care of our children in their assigned age group -Infants. As well Assistants will lead, plan and organize childcare program activities to ensure that the program provides the highest quality childcare available.. Our brand new beautiful campus that we share with The Pillars of Prospect Park Senior living has been designed to give daily opportunities to interact and build friendships between the children and their Grand-friends. We offer a unique program that brings multiple generations together in a stimulating co-learning environment. Pillars teachers will work together to create a loving, positive, respect filled early childhood environment with promotes cognitive, social-emotional and physical development.
Under the supervision of the Lead Teacher, the Assistant Child Care Teacher will assist the teacher in the supervision and care of the children in the assigned age group. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Implementing developmentally age appropriate curriculum
Maintaining a child friendly and orderly classroom
Implementing effective guidance and support strategies
Coordinate and contribute to the teaching team
Supervises health, safety, and overall well being of children at all times
Participates in program areas such as intergeneration activities
Maintaining certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education
High School/G.E.D. with 12 quarter or 8 semester credits in accredited post-secondary early childhood education program.
Preferred Education
Two years full time post-secondary education with 9 quarter or 6 semester early childhood/child psychology or related field coursework.
Must meet Department of Human Services Rule 3 assistant teacher qualifications
