Summary/Objective:
The Sr Logistics Manager position supervises and coordinates activities of teams responsible for receiving, storing, picking product and preparing it for Distribution to customers throughout several locations throughout the United States via expedited carrier services.
Essential Functions: .
Ensure that all incoming goods activities such as scanning, systems maintenance, inventory levels and materials data processing, etc. are properly managed and coordinated
Ensure teams have processes in place to control non-conformance materials to initiate corrective actions, ensure that the commodities are inspected for conformity with other specifications and checked for defects
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment such as fork lifts. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach/lift with hands and arms up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is a minimum of 40 hours of work expected in this role.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day.
Up to 50% travel may be required in this position.
Required Education and Experience:
6. Working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP or other preferred.
7. Customer and supplier orientation, organization, and coordination skills
8. Self-initiative and ability to work under pressure
9. Interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills necessary to work in a cooperative, positive team approach.
10. Ability to lead, train and mentor employees on a personal & professional level
11. Experience or knowledge of raw materials planning/production scheduling process
